As I always knew it would be, my fraternal experience has proven to be one of the outstanding impacts in my life. Both of my parents are Greeks and growing up, I saw the close relationships that they had with their fraternity Brothers and Sisters. Those friendships continue even to this day, 70 years after their college days ended. I wanted that, too, when I pledged the Lambda Chapter at Berkeley and have not been disappointed. Not only did my time as an active help prepare me for the life to follow, but I still count many of my Brothers among my close friends. It was also through my involvement with Kappa Delta Rho that I met my wife, and we have been married for 46 years.
I owe my Fraternity much. In gratitude and with affection, I want her to be strong and preserved so that others might also benefit from their association in our great Brotherhood.
Recently, as Laurie and I prepared to meet with our attorney to update our estate plans, there was never any doubt in my mind that provisions would be made for so important a benefactor in our lives. We are glad we did this!
